What to expect when you visit on Sunday morning.
Sunday School Class Opportunities:
Sunday School classes for children and adults start at 9:00 AM and finish in time for the worship service. Nursery care is available during Sunday School. For more information on Sunday School Classes check our Sunday School page.
What to expect once the service starts:
We offer a traditional worship service that starts at 10:00 AM and generally lasts about an hour. As you enter the Sanctuary, you will be given a weekly bulletin. It will include the order of service and a mini newsletter describing what is happening in the church. There is NO official assigned seating or reserved seating (except for the very first row on both sides for the Deacons). It is purely on a first come basis. Before the service starts, be sure to fill out the attendance booklet and pass it to the middle where they will be picked up.
We lead with a welcome and announcements and follow with a sharing of joys and concerns. We celebrate weekly communion, sing hymns, read from the Old and New Testaments, and hear the word of God through the sermon - which are sometimes interactive. Hymns are sung in a variety of ways: the congregation alone, the choir alone, and the congregation and choir together. We end the service with an invitation to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and/or join our church. After the service concludes, we have Koffee Klatch in the Fellowship Hall and everyone is welcome to join us.
Children in Worship:
Nursery care is available for infants and children up to age five. All other children stay with the adults and participate in the worship service. Spiritual Activity Totes for young children to play with during the worship hour are available in the Narthex. Please see a greeter to obtain a tote for your child.
There are also a couple rocking chairs, in the back of the sanctuary. Any parent that needs to rock or feed a child can use these chairs.
Koffee Klatch:
Koffee Klatch is located in Fellowship Hall and is an opportunity for everyone to get together for light refreshments and conversation. This is a great time to get to know both our members and our visitors. Our refreshments usually include coffee, punch, and cookies. We do not have the same thing every week, though, so come often. We also have a Donut Sunday once a month! Sometimes someone in the congregation wants to celebrate a special event and will bring cake.
