Church Grounds Maintenance - The church grounds do not take care of themselves. We have a group of volunteers who help by weeding the flower beds. Many hands make light work. We would love for you to give us a hand.
Meadowbrook Tutoring - Fairview is a partner with Meadowbrook Elementary School in an after-school tutoring program.
Children often need a little help with their basic classwork and/or homework. This normally takes an hour a week of hands-on time with the student conducted at the school building. It is conducted during the regular school year and administered by the school personnel. Grandparent images are especially excellent as many children do not have accessible extended family members.
All tutors must complete a screening process and will be registered as Youth Friends with the North Kansas City School District. This process starts with an online registration and then you are directed to a location for fingerprinting. Some training/orientation time may also be scheduled. Fairview is happy to help you with registering online if you need assistance.
If you have an hour to volunteer for a great cause, give it a try. You may make a friend for life and provide a little academic boost for a child that can make a great difference in their life.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with weeding during growing season.
Looking to have enough volunteers to have at least 4 teams consisting of 2 volunteers per team.
If we get enough volunteers, then each team would work once per month between April and September
So if you can help out, please contact Barbara M. or call the church office.
