Classic Crowd
"One of the Great Internal Missions of Our Church"
Classic Crowd is exactly what its name suggests--a truly classic group! As one of the key internal missions of Fairview Christian Church, Classic Crowd offers fellowship, fun, and purpose to our senior community. In fact, the group reaches beyond our congregation, with many regular attendees who are not members of the church.
When We Meet
Classic Crowd gathers on the second Thursday of each month (except January). Each meeting features a carry-in lunch, followed by a program that is either entertaining or informative. It’s a time to connect, learn, and share laughter together.
What to Expect
- A short business meeting with reports from the secretary and treasurer
- Sharing of concerns and updates on group travel plans
- Door prizes, a patriotic song, the Pledge of Allegiance, and prayer
- Recognition of birthdays and anniversaries
- Thoughtfully decorated tables that reflect care and attention
Who Makes It Happen
The heart of Classic Crowd lies in the many members who joyfully serve—many of whom proudly “brag” about their age! With 103 people on the calling list and regular attendance between 50 and 75, the group thrives on a spirit of community and celebration. Guests and family members are always welcome.
